John Travolta took to Instagram on Sunday to honor his late wife Kelly Preston, less than two years after her death at 57 following a brave battle with breast cancer.

‘We love and miss you Kelly. Happy Mother’s Day,’ the Oscar-nominated star, 68, captioned the clip, which was set to Barbara Streisand’s That Face.

The clip included shots of Travolta and Preston’s nuptials in 1987 in Paris, as they were married for 28 years after meeting on the set of the comedy film The Experts, which was released in 1989.

The couple went on to appear in multiple films with one another, including the 2018 crime drama Gotti, the 2010 thriller From Paris with Love, the 2009 comedy Old Dogs and the 2000 sci-fi film Battlefield Earth.

Preston, who battled cancer for two years, died July 12, 2020 at the family’s Clearwater, Florida home.

Travolta announced the sad news in a post on social media the following day, writing, ‘It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many,’ adding, ‘Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered.’

The Pulp Fiction star last year spoke with Esquire Spain, opening up about the complicated mourning process following his spouse’s passing, as many people reached out to him in hopes of comforting him.

‘I felt so saturated with everyone’s sadness that I didn’t know what to do,’ the Saturday Night Fever star said in the April 2021 piece. ‘The first thing you should do when you experience grief is to go to a place where you can live your mourning, without any interference. If I die tomorrow, the last thing I want to see is everyone around me sunk.’
