Kyrgyzstan‘s border guard service said on Friday that Tajik forces once again opened fire on several of its outposts, an escalation of tension between the Russian allies after a brief confrontation earlier this week.

Kyrgyz border guards were returning fire as clashes took place along the whole length of the border, the service said, adding that Tajik forces were using tanks, armored personnel carriers, and mortars.

In turn, Tajikistan accused Kyrgyz forces of shelling one of its outposts and seven villages with “heavy weaponry.” A civilian was killed and three injured, authorities in the Tajik city of Isfara said.Top ArticlesRead More

Why are Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan fighting?

The governors of Kyrgyz and Tajik provinces adjacent to the border were set to meet at a border crossing point and try to defuse the situation, Kyrgyz border guards set.

Clashes over the poorly demarcated border between the two former Soviet republics are frequent, but usually de-escalate quickly, although last year they almost led to an all-out war.

Both host Russian military bases and have close ties with Moscow, which urged a cession of hostilities this week.

A Christian view of the coming Temple – opinion

Everything is happening according to God’s plan. No One can stop His plans being fulfilled. I have heard Rabbi Richman of the Temple Institute speak. I have seen the Epod and the Crown for the High Priest. All will come past in God’s timing.

Netanyahu trials: Netanyahu to attend Filber testimony

LarryGoldstein

Dana Neufeld, legal advisor to the Ministry of Communication when Netanyahu was the Minister of Communication and the Bezek-Yes investment (not merger) was approved, just finished her testimony. On cross-examination, she said that the Bezek-Yes review and approval was conducted “according to standard procedure.” She testified further under cross-examination that before Netanyahu signed his approval, he explicitly asked Neufeld, “Have the professional people approved the transaction?” She said “yes, they had,” and only then did he sign. In fact, the Cable Council within the Ministry of Communication had approved the transaction unanimously, and Dr. Assaf Eilat, then chief economist of the Antitrust Authority, had written his opinion that the transaction would be “pro-competitive” (which in fact it turned out to be). Case 4000 is an utter fraud. It is a scam from top to bottom, cooked up by Shai Nitzan to cap off his career and by Avichai Mandelblit to obtain an appointment to the Supreme Court. Filber’s testimony will not change that reality. Larry M. Goldstien

This regime of the ayatollahs is hated by the Iranian people, with good reason. Anyone bringing down this regime would receive the thanks and friendship of ordinary Iranians, may that day come soon. Larry M. Goldstein
