WOLVES IN WHITE WOOL

My thoughts lately have been turned to wolves. Not just wolves but all predators that are being
“introduced” into western American lands. Wolves, grizzly bears, and now, probably coming
soon, wolverines. It’s a very interesting phenomenon.

I am one who reads the scriptures. I am one who believes that we ought to get back to
following the United States constitution. I am one who believes that America is a chosen land, a
promised land of promise. I am one who believes in Jesus Christ. I am one who believes that
we are in the last days. I am one who believes that Jesus Christ will come again.

When Christ comes again a time of great peace, the prophets have said, will soon follow. In fact
one ancient prophecy has to do with wolves. Isaiah 11:6, “The wolf also shall dwell with the
lamb…” What a great day that will be! Unfortunately that day is not today. In the meantime we
now have dangerous predators roaming our lands. Predators that kill and destroy American
citizens’ property. Predators that can and do threaten people’s livelihoods and lives.

I said earlier that I believed America to be a land of promise. Anciently, God through his servant
Moses, led another group of people to a different land of promise. Moses did not enter the
promised land, but he led the children of Israel to its borders. Before Joshua led Israel through
the Jordan river into the promised land of Canaan, Moses gave a great address to the people.
In Leviticus chapter 26 Moses teaches the children of Israel what will happen to them if they do,
and do not keep the commandments of God.

My thoughts on wolves were pricked when I read verses 6 and 22 of Leviticus chapter 26.
Verse 6 teaches that one of God’s blessings for keeping his commandments is that God would

rid evil beasts out of the land. In verse 22, during times of wickedness, “I will also send wild
beasts among you which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle…” I’m not
preaching but these two verses definitely got me thinking.

I love the Declaration of Independence. The words in that document are poetic and beautiful.
We have God given rights. These rights are not for any man or government to take away. In
fact the purpose of government is to secure these God given rights.

With these thoughts in mind I have some questions. Why is the federal government sending
predators into our lands? Why are government officials stopping American citizens from
exercising their God given right to protect themselves and their property from these predators?
Why do we spend millions and millions of hard earned tax dollars every year to keep these
predators around? What is the real problem here? Are their people among us who do not have
our best interests at heart? Do we have ravening wolves wearing white wool in Washington?
Do we still live in the land of the free?
