Trump warns ‘really bad things’ will happen to Putin as invasion ramps up

U.S. President Donald Trump issued a fiery warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin Tuesday morning, stating that Putin was “playing with fire.”

U.S. President Donald Trump issued a fiery warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin Tuesday morning, stating that Putin was “playing with fire.” The short and to-the-point post was made on the president’s Truth Social account.

“What Vladimir Putin doesn’t realize is that if it weren’t for me, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD,” wrote Trump, 78. “He’s playing with fire!”

The latest post comes as both presidents continue to verbally spar with each other. Prior to the post, the Kremlin, Russia‘s government, verbally attacked Trump, labeling him a “clown” and claiming he suffers from “dementia.”

Russia‘s sudden turn on Trump came after the U.S. president blasted Vladimir Putin, saying he had gone “absolutely CRAZY” due to the country’s barrage of missile and drone strikes on civilian targets in Ukraine. The attack prompted Trump to ask: “I don’t know what’s wrong with him. What the hell happened to him?”

In an official response, Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov attributed Trump’s outburst to an “emotional overload.” Until recently, the tone of comments from Putin’s camp had been restrained or even positive, sensing Trump’s past support for the Russian leader over the Ukraine conflict.

It was reported that a bot under the guise of Batyurkan Markushbekov posted, “Success on the battlefield – that’s what Russia should strive for, as it initially took a peaceful path to resolve the conflict, and stepping away from it is absolutely unacceptable.” Another chimed in with a direct bite at political dynamics: “Trump’s just raging because he has no power over Russia. He just loves to boss people around.”

The two started sparring when President Trump posted a lengthy question about Putin on his Truth Social site. “I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him,” Trump wrote.

“He has gone absolutely CRAZY,” the president added.
