  • Toyota reported an increase of 1.5 percent rise in its worldwide vehicle output, reaching a new record of 833,104 vehicles
  • During the month, domestic production dropped some 3.3 percent to 266,174 vehicles, while overseas output rose 3.8 percent to a record 566,930
  • Due to solid demand, especially in North America, and a recovery in parts supplies caused by COVID-19-related delays, global sales and production were also higher than their levels in November 2021

TOKYO, Japan: Toyota reported an increase of 1.5 percent rise in its worldwide vehicle output, reaching a new record of 833,104 vehicles.

During the month, domestic production dropped some 3.3 percent to 266,174 vehicles, while overseas output rose 3.8 percent to a record 566,930.

Due to solid demand, especially in North America, and a recovery in parts supplies caused by COVID-19-related delays, global sales and production were also higher than their levels in November 2021, the company said.

Earlier this month, Toyota forecast a production total of 700,000 vehicles in January, maintaining a reduced goal of 9.2 million in the year through March.

Toyota previously planned to produce 9.7 million vehicles this fiscal year, but in November, issues caused by rising materials costs and the semiconductor shortage forced it to lower its target.
