Ghislaine Maxwell is claiming a fellow jailbird once plotted to murder her as she slept in a prison bed at a notorious Brooklyn lockup.

Maxwell, the former gal pal and infamous right-hand woman of pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, told The US Sun she’s learned the hard way that prisons are dangerous.

“There was a woman who made a threat to act in a plan to murder me as I was sleeping. That is real. That happened,” insisted Maxwell, referring to her earlier stay at the Metropolitan Detention Center following her July 2020 arrest.

The 60-year-old was convicted in December of sex trafficking and other crimes after being charged with recruiting young teenage girls for Epstein to sexually abuse. Epstein was found dead in his prison cell while awaiting trial for sex trafficking in 2019.

Maxwell, who is now serving a 20-year sentence at low-security Florida lockup, claims her jail ordeal was especially rough in Brooklyn — saying she was forced to live in a rat-invested cell and was served maggoty food.

Maxwell claimed the threat occurred while she was in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.

“The food in Brooklyn was truly, truly terrible,” fumed Maxwell, who was transferred three months ago to Tallahassee Federal Correctional Institution. “One day I was so hungry that I ate the only thing I had — Vaseline.”

She also had some advice for anyone willing to listen.

“Prisons are dangerous,” she said. “I would tell anybody to do everything possible to avoid jail.
