Veeps: Vance More Popular Than Walz

After Democrat Tim Walz and Republican J.D. Vance met in their only televised debate, the GOP vice presidential candidate gets higher marks from voters.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters view Vance favorably, including 33% with a Very Favorable impression of the Ohio senator. Forty-two percent (42%) see Vance unfavorably, including 32% with a Very Unfavorable opinion of former President Donald Trump’s running mate. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,050 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted on October 1-3, 2024 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC.
