BAKER, La. (WAFB) – These horses heading into the Walmart in Baker are reining in attention on social media.

Tuesday night, four people on horseback rode into the store and paraded around for a while before they eventually left.

Now the Baker Police Department says they’re working to identify the riders.

It’s something becoming more and more commonplace, a viral trend where people ride in and shock shoppers during business hours.

“The horses look like they handled the situation pretty good,” said Michael Frazier of Frazier’s Homestead in Baker.

Frazier takes care of 50 horses. He says these cowboys are lucky nobody was harmed during their publicity stunt.

”Horses don’t belong in a situation like that, you don’t know how they’re going to react,” emphasized Frazier. “If they react bad, somebody’s going to get hurt.”

He’s surprised the four horsemen and others taking part in this trend are taking such a risk.

“I couldn’t believe somebody would take that much chance hurting somebody,” added Frazier. “Hurting the horses or hurting somebody to do something like that.”

The Baker chief of police tells WAFB he’s on the case and that the investigation is ongoing.

No names have been released at this time.

It was a moment that had people stunned. A few people caught it on camera, Frazier says he likely would’ve done the same.

“I probably would’ve taken a picture,” chuckled Frazier.
